Two New Cluster Cards

Here's a couple of new greetings cards, I've zoomed in a little to emphasise the detail and the brushstrokes:

Exhibit A...

There's a gallery in the shop, and one of my paintings is in the gallery.

On Monday I'm going to put a little shelf on the wall next to it with a couple of pairs of Chromadepth 3d glasses, as my cluster/symmetry paintings look rather tasty viewed through them...

Three Clusters

I'll probably be doing some more fine-tuning to these, but I thought I'd stick 'em up as they are at the moment, for an 'under-the-hood' glimpse into the 'artistic process'*

The green one needs another darker outer layer, the brown one needs more dark colours in the centre area, and they all need around 25% more detail work (outlines, inlays, smaller dots and circles)

I'll know when they're finished 'cos they'll start to 'zing'...

New Cards - Test Run

I'm trying a few tests this week, seeing what works at what size:

I might try some cards with close-ups of small areas rather than shrinking the whole image down to fit the front of a greetings card.

I reckon this first one might be a reduction too far (borderline indecipherability), the psychic blackboard pieces seem to work better printed very large, probably due to being scanned at 600dpi:

Tried a wraparound idea with this next one, but not entirely sure it works. Again, it might be better to do a close-ups on a square card rather than a wraparound on a rectangular one:

(Note to self- they don't ALL have to be reproduced as greetings cards)
